Question
i live in a hoa. home owners ass. my car was towed. there was no freelane sign, there was no.. no parking sign. the curb was not red, but a little red strips on the ground very thin noticeable. i asked for a refund. they keep saying they will call me back with the status of my refund. how do i go after them for a refund? This is in the city of norwalk.

Answer
There are 8 Norwalk's in the United States, but I am guessing that its California here (after all about 75% of all my questions are from California)

There are lots of towing laws, regarding Towing from Fire lanes listed on the California DMV web site and I will post that link at the end of the answer, but if you are trying for a refund, I doubt you will get one...

Yes there are sizes, working, and such regulations for fire lanes, but as with any issue, it takes time to determine if it was "A LEGAL TOW"

Add in the fact that you are in a "HOA" area and that adds in additional rules and regulations which are unique to that complex, which I would not be able to find information on..
