Towing Issues: Car towed from Business parking lot in Long Beach, CA, traffic law enforcement agency, traffic law enforcement

Question
Hi, I parked my car in a company parking lot that a restaurant across the street has a sign on the entrance of the lot states that this is the restaurant parking. That was in Long Beach, CA 90803. Anyway, there are NO signs that say this is a Private Property, TOW AWAY, or anything like that, all what is there is signs on some lanes that say "Reserve for Brown". So, because there is no sign, according to Section 22658 from CA law, indicating that vehicles will be removed at the owner's expense, and containing the telephone number of the local traffic law enforcement agency, the tow is illegal??

Answer
I have looked at this question and you say there is a sign stating
"restaurant parking" but then you say there are not signs for towing...

I guess what I am trying to understand is if you got towed, wanting to know if you are going to get towed, or if this is even legal...

From the sounds of it, the lot might be on the edge of being legal, but with the new updated laws they might not of keep up to date on the requirements... That or someone has removed the other signs which would make it a legally posted lot...

Some people after being towed, do that in order to try and get out of the tow fees...

Now as to "legal or Illegal" I would love to answer that one, but I am not a judge, I am not there to see the actual signs and such so I really can not "rule on that issue"
But it does not sound real good, but I bet there is more to this question that I see here.
