Towing Issues: towing company sscratched up my car and the exhaust and now denials all responsibility, tow trucks, towing company

My car wouldnt start and i got AAA to help me tow my vehicle from home to the dealers. They dropped off the vehicle and just left.
   The dealers told us that when they first inspected the vehicle the scratch and the bent exhaust was already there.
   Now the AAA guy claims it cant be the fault of the towing company it may be a scratch cause by the dealer or an act of vandalism.
   Is it possible for a car to get a scratch on the rare bumper and a bent exhaust at the same time in any other kind of accident other than a towing damage.

Ok, certain types of tow trucks can cause damage while towing more than others... Be it a wheel lift or a flatbed it does not matter. Each as problems at times..

Now I wish I could answer this more, but without knowing a lot more information it would be hard to guess and answer correctly..

Was it towed from the front  or the rear?

Was it towed on a flatbed?

Was it towed with a wheel lift (lifted by the tires)?

What was wrong with the vehicle ?

What kind of vehicle ????



Now I have to also defend the tow truck a bit, dealers are most of the time, crowded and have small tight parking lots...  They do have issues with damages happening and a lot of times they are real quick to place blame on the tow truck..

Now it's possible to get damages on the vehicles when being towed, and it's more possible to bend the exhaust than scratch the bumper...

But I really do not have much I can answer about this, as I do not have all the information and I was not there also..
