Towing Issues: parking someone in, furniture style, ohio thanks

i have a parking space at my apartment that you need a permit for. because it has enough space for two cars, i usually let my girlfriend park first, and then i park my car with the pass in it behind her. can a tow truck move my car to get to hers?

While this question is good, it all boils down to what the tow company is asked to do by the property management...

IN GENERALIZATIONS, the tow company should not be able to move your vehicle to get to the illegal vehicle, but if you are doing this to prevent the towing or to break the law, there is nothing you can do if the management tells them to tow your vehicle away also for breaking the rules.

Ethically it is not right to move the vehicle to get to the other vehicle, but sometimes people do push the rules to get things done or prevent the towing of vehicles.


But as a side note here, if you blocked the vehicle in and given an empty space beside your GF's vehicle I can move it sideways to the other space and tow it off with some specialized equipment and knowledge and you would not know it was being done or see marks on the ground to show it was done. (think furniture style dollies)

As a question to you, can your GF get a permit to park there legally ??  or do you both not want to use "authorized guest spaces"
