Towing Issues: I got towed, small claims court, garage door opener

Question
I was going home and my parking garage door opener didn't work
so i parked in my friends spot on the side of the building. I came
out to find my car towed. I guess my car was kind of blocking the
spot next to it or it was just too tight of a squeeze. I was under the
impression that only a property manager could have a car towed. it
was just some other tenant. can i recover damages for towing fee?

well  for what ever reason it was towed, you can always attempt to recover the fees paid for towing ...

Either by directly asking the apartment management or the person who called for the tow.  That or you can go the small claims court route.

I have never liked having the Tenant being able to call for tows when its apartments or condos.. Too many possible problems on the calls them.
