Towing Issues: tow hook, toyota camry, vehicle construction

Question
A towing service towed my  '99 Toyota Camry V6 out of a parking lot w/o my knowledge. When I got the car back, I didn't know that the tow hook was broken when I had to tow it again. The tower told me that the hook was not replaceable. Is this true? If I sued the original tower, what could I sue the tower for as a result of the tow hook not being replaceable?

Answer
it sounds like one of those loop hooks on the rear.  If they are damaged or ripped off then they are not replaceable..

As far as sueing the orginal tower, you can if you want to, not sure how it would be handled or go.  Damages are one of the most common reasons for lawsuits and complaints about towing vehicles from parking lots without the owner being there.   Was something done wrong, hard to say with out alot more information.

Could they of done something wrong ,  its possible.  Could it of been a defect in the vehicle construction which caused the hook to break.

I replied to an earlier question of yours, and hope that it helps also.
