Toyota Repair: remove starter 1995 toyota v6

Question
remove starter from a 1995 toyota pick up v6

Answer
Hello
disconnect the battery
jack the truck up on the right front
remove the wheel
remove the small metal inner fender cover(held on with 10mm nuts
remove the rubber shields
You'll see an opening and you can see the starter, it has to come through this opening
Remove the rock shield
remove the 12 mm nut for the large cable coming from the battery
remove the wire from the solenoid
there is a 14mm nut at the bottom of the starter
You need a long extension and a 14mm swivel socket to reach the nut and remove it
There is 1 14mm bolt for the top of the starter facing the rear at the bellhousing
remove this nut
The starter is now loose
remove the small heat shield at the rear of the exhaust manifold
There are steel brake lines in the way
You'll have to bend then out of the way as much as possible
remove the 10 mm nut on the bracket for the battery cable, move it out of the way
From here it's trail and error you'll have to twist and turn the starter until it fits through the opening, I have also used large checnnelock pliers to bend the inner sheet metal out of the way, this gives you a little more room.
It can be done but it's not an easy job, have a first aid kit handy.
