Toyota Repair: tarago rough idle, throttle plate, carbon deposits

Question
hi there.I have a 2007 4cyc tarago.the car wouldn't start and discovered a losse battery terminal.upon tightening the terminal have found the car runs well but has a rough idle.Any clues or hints on resetting computer.Or is it a sensor/manifold air issue 100,000klm

Answer
This can happen when the battery is disconnected, what you need to do is clean the inside of the throttle body, disconnect the battery, open the throttle plate all the way and clean the bore using a brush and a can of air intake/carb cleaner, remove all the carbon deposits, reconnect the hose and the battery and start the engine, it may take a few tries then drive the car as usual for about 15 minutes.
