Toyota Repair: replacing timing belt RAV4, crank pulley, tensioner pulley

Question
QUESTION: Hi
I have 1998 Rav4 2.0 eng, 170000 miles, I am replaceing the timing belt. I took off the Right motor mount , now I am trying to take off the bracket for the motor mount. I removed 2   14mm bolts but the mount is not coming off. Is there a 3rd bolt to take off??? Or is it just 2 bolts and maybe the last time it was done there was a lot of lock tight cementing it on. I lightly hit it with a hammer and it did not come loose.  ANy suggestions on how to get the bracket off.

ANSWER: There are only the two 14mm bolts holding the aluminum bracket to the block, there is another one at the top that connects to the alternator.

QUESTION: Hi,
Thanks for the quick response. I got the bracket off ok. Now I am putting on the new timing belt. The instructions show that after putting on the timing belt, turn the crankshaft 1  & 7/8 turns ,then tighten the tensioner pulley, then turn the crankshaft 2 & 1/8 turns. I did this twice and keep getting same results. The camshaft alighnment is off by a little bit ( I am assuming 1 tooth on the belt) Is there a trick to getting the belt on corredtly and tight eonough?? Any hints would be appreciated.
Thank You,
Bob

Answer
With both timing marks lined up ther should be no slack in the belt between the crank pulley and the cam pulley, all slack should be on the tensioner side, once the tensiner is released it will take the slack out, rotate the engine and back to where the marks line up and retightern the belt.
