Toyota Repair: 1993 Toyota P/U Clutch Adjustment, clutch adjustment, clutch pedal

Question
I have a 1993 Toyota P/U 2.4L 5 speed, I just replaced the clutch and it engages and disengages at and very close to the floor bored. I see an adjustment on the pedal which way do I adjust the pedal in or out?

Answer
The pedal rod adjustment is for the clutch pedal free play which should be no more than about 1/4",before contacting the master cylinder, if the clearance is excessive then loosen the adjusting lock nut and turn the rod until the clearance becomes less then tighten the lock nut.
