Toyota Repair: 89 toyota 4cyl 22 re blown efi fuse, side kick panel, fuse block

Question
Battery slid sideways and hit medal battery bracket.  Ground to alternator burnt, replaced wires and alternator no problem. After it first happened, car cranked and ran for about a min, acted like it ran out gas and died. Cranked again then died, then wouldnt turn over. Replaced fuse, cranked for about 10secs and turned off.  blown fuse again.  After fixing wiring and replacing alt does same thing still.  Did find another burnt ground.  Drivers side, two ground wires grounded and they look as if they do not go back to drivers side kick panel but instead go up into wiring harness. Only one burnt. white wire black stripe, red dashes on it.  Peeled back about six inches above burnt wire and there seems to be no more burning past the point near where it is grounded. Looks as if it stopped before going into harness.  Any order of areas I should check? Looking for fastest route to getting it fixed. Is it possible it burnt 4 inches, then looks fine for a foot, and burnt somewhere in between where im checking the wire?  What all does the efi fuse go to? Thanks.

Answer
You will need to trace the wire harness and look for burnt wires in the wire harness in the area of the faulty fuse block. Be sure to look for burnt wire harness near the O2 sensor under the truck near the transmission cross member near the catalytic converter.
