Toyota Repair: 2000 Landcruiser, Engine Dies, toyota dealer, code numbers

1600 mile trip to Yellowstone and all of a sudden my engine died and the "Check Engine Light and VSC TRAC OFF" light came on. Pulled to side of road, tried starting and it started up. Checked with toyota Dealer in small town they said not to worry???  Happend again on the way home.

In most cases the check engine light is the primary cause of the problem, it will trigger the other lights on because the abs/vsc systems are disabled when there is a check engine light, take it to the toyota dealer in your town and have the trouble codes retreived, they should give you a printout of the code numbers, if after that I can assist let me know, most check engine lights are emission control related and do not adversely affect deriveability but it's still not something to "not worry" about.
