Toyota Repair: 2002 toyota sequoia, toyota sequoia, carbon deposits

Question
I disconected my battery and now my car stalls at everty stop and will stall in park also. it runs ok off of idle. thanx John

Answer
The problem is that the inside of the throttle body has a lot of carbon deposits, in most cases after the battery is disconnected the computer will relearn the drive cycles in stop and go traffic and reset the idle to normal, the solution here is to remove the large intake air tube and then cleaning the throttle body bore and the throttle plate of all the carbon deposits, this is done with a stiff brush and a can of carburetor/throttle body cleaner, disconnect the battery and then reconnect it and immediately start the engine and drive it in normal stop/go traffic until the engine starts idling normal.
