Toyota Repair: Ignition cylinder, clutch start cancel button, or starter?, time ted, pickup 4x4

Question
Thanks for your time Ted.  I have a 91 pickup 4x4 manual four cylinder.  I occasionally have problems with the ignition locking up on me to the point where the key almost breaks off inside upon trying to start the car.  This happened today and I vigorously tried turning the key and shaking the steering wheel trying to free the ignition until I actually did free it up.  Before I was successful in this though I got frustrated and started trying to start the car via the clutch start cancel switch(stupid I know).  Anyway once I freed up the ignition I turn the key and there's nothing.  Engine doesn't crank at all.  Would be the exact same as a completely dead battery except the battery is not dead.  When I turn the key I get radio, lights, everything.  I don't think it's the starter as it has shown no signs of going out prior to this.  Could my idiotic pressing of the clutch start button have somehow disengaged the starter?  Or did my vigorous turning of the key break something inside the ignition switch? I very much appreciate your reply.

Answer
First of all the ignition lock cylinder needs to be replaced so that the key can be turned normally, after that if there is still a starting problem the electrical part in the back of the switch may have been damaged, pushing cancel switch will not cause this problem.
