Toyota Repair: 1993 Toyota Camry, degree thermostat, toyota camry

Question
There was no heat in the Camry so we replaced the thermostat and the heat was fine.  The next day the radiator was leaking from the top right.  We replaced the radiator.  Now the cooling fans are not coming on and the interior temp gauge remains between hot and cold.  The fuses have been checked for continuity and seem fine.  We cannot figure out why the cooliing fans aren't coming on after 40 plus minutes of running and driving.  The do come on when we disconnect the wires. Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

Answer
If you live in a cold climate the engine may not get hot enough to turn the fans on if the correct thermostat was not installed, make sure that a 180 degree thermostat was used so the fans turn on at that temperature, the fans will stay on with the sensor connectors removed, this means that everything is ok, the switch that controls the fan is just not getting to the temperature that it needs to make them turn on, as long as the engine is not overheating I wouldn't worry too much unless the heater doesn't get hot enough.
