Toyota Repair: 1989 toyota celia brake light indicator, brake fluid reservoir, brake warning light

Question
My brake indicator light comes on when ever it wants intermittly. This is the light that i thought only came one when you engage the emergency brake. I recently replaced the rear brakes on my son's car. I relaced the shoes, drums and a wheel cylinder on the paasengers side.  The reason for the rear brake job was cause the emergency brake was not working properly. I figured the shoe were worn out. The wheel cyclinder but when i pulled the drum i noticed that one of the round keepers that hold the brake shoe in place can off and cause one of the luggs that stick out of the wheel cuyclinder had broken off. The brakes shoe were worn out but had worn uneven. so i replaced the shoes and drums. I did bleed all four wheels and my fulid level is topped off.  my brakes stop me well and the emergency brake works well. Do you have any ideal why the light comes on?  any type of reset?  help,  it drives me bananas!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
The brake warning light on the dash is controlled by a sensor in the brake fluid reservoir which triggers the light if the fluid becomes to low, that's all it does. There are acouple of things that may cause the light to stay on, the sensor in the reservoir may be bad or the emergency brake switch may be bad causing the light to stay on, remove the connector from the master cylinder and jumper the two terminals with the key on and if the light goes off the sensor is the problem.
