Toyota Repair: 1986 toyta camery water pump replacement, crankshaft pulley, water pump replacement


Question
Wanted to known when replaceing water pump how do i keep the timing still not to move . and the cam . . i known i have to take the bolt off the pully were the cam at . but how do i make sure that timng does not move top and bottom . do i mark the belt and the pully or what . i have to take the cover off the side were the water pump. could you tell me from stat to end how to and tools. thank you

Put the crankshaft pulley mark at zero on the cover, put the upper cam geat so that the mark on the pulley lines up with the mark on the housing then remove the crankshaft pulley and the covers realign the marks and mark them with paint for reference.
