Question -
WE HAVE A 1998 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES ABOUT 1" FROM THE FLOOR. THE FRONT PADS AND REAR BRAKE SHOES ARE ABOUT 50%. I BLEED THE SYSTEM 2 TIMES. THEY STAYED THE SAME. I CHECKED THE BOOSTER ACCORDING TO MY BOOK AND IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE LEAKING AIR. NOT SURE HOW TO CHECK THE MASTER CYLINDER? CAN I REBUILD IF IT NEEDS IT?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Answer -
did u adj the rear drums?
adjustment of the rear shoes is a direct factor on pedal height!!!

Answer
sequance of bleed is : furthest from the master cylinder first! and progress from there..endind at the master cylinder.
let me know how u do!
when adjusting the rear drums you want them to be just tight enough that when the wheel is on the car after adjusting them it just bearly has no clearance and freespins
