Toyota Repair: Front End Shimmy, tie rod ends, inner tie rod

Question
Just bought an 86 corolla sedan. It has a shimmy
between 59-63mph. I had the tires balanced but it
is still there. Do I have to replace the FWD axle?

hello ken.. i would check the inner tie rod ends for play. and check the axles too. most likely it is the tie rod ends... to do this jack the front tires off the ground and looking at the tires directly take both hands and try to move the tire in with one hand and out with the other. if it has play that is the problem
