Toyota Repair: 96 Avalon Wind Noise, avalon xls, wind noise

 I just purchased a '96 Avalon XLS.  The only problem is the significant wind noise (for a near luxury car) coming from the 'A-Pillars'.  I believe there is a TSB for this problem, but I was hoping I could repair it myself.  Since I just spent money purchasing the car, I don't feel like I should have to spend additional money having the dealer repair this problem.  Can you suggest a repair method?  Thanks

Yes there is a bulletin to fix wind noise problems on this year Avalon(TSB-BO010-97)it requires several parts and the procedure is very involved, the warranty labor is listed at 4.5 hours,since your car is obviously out of the warranty period the option whether to fix this with the factory recommended procedure is up to you,the bulletin is 8 pages long, if you could give me an email address I can send you the first page which lists all the parts required, I can't send an eight page document via email, if you wish I can send you the entire TSB via regular mail just send me a stamped self addressed envelope, if you want to do this contact me at my email address tedrttr@yahoo.com/
