Tractor Repair: Tractor engine wont stay running., snow storms, recent snow

Question
Kubota BX2200,diesel with 406 hours,all maintance up-to-date.
PROBLEM:When I start the tractor the motor stops within 2 seconds with a small burst of black smoke out the exaust.
This is the first problem I have experienced.
Repaced fuel filters, air filter, added fresh fuel, checked fuses. In the last two weeks I have operated the tractor approximately 20 hours due to recent snow storms without problems. The tractor did run out of fuel once(first time)but started within a couple of minutes once I refueled and ran perfect. Any help is appreiated.

Answer
I am going to need more information to give you a better answer. If you are having the problem since you changed the filter's then check your air filter make sure it is not in backwards. You can't believe how many times I have seen that. You could also have air in the fuel system.  If you serviced it then ran it for twenty hours then we could have another problem. Tell me in a follow up what actually happened and in which order.
