Tractor Repair: stuck in reverse, massey fergusen, shift forks

Question
I have an old Massey-Fergusen t50. When I went to shift the gears got stuck. I still have high and low shift; but, the big shift lever is stuck in one position. At this point I can only go in reverse. However, the lever is up and to the right while the reverse position is up and to the left. The tranny fluid is low. My question is it worth fixing this?

Answer
HI ABE.
Definitely worth fixing , do you keep her out side in all conditions ?
As water does tend to get into the gear selector mechanism and this soon rusts up solid. You may be able to just lift the lid of the g/box strip it and Polish shafts .
hopefully this is all that is wrong.
OR--
if the shift forks are worn then in the past i have successfully built up worn parts with MIG weld AND RE ground back to shape.
good luck.
