Triumph Repair: 1967 Spitfire mk2...no spark, electronic ignition system, spitfire

Question
I'm trying to get help on something that's vexed me about my 1967 spitfire mk2.  There's absolutely no spark through the spark plugs though I've replaced the coil, installed electronic ignition and replaced wires to the plugs.  Any ideas?  There's a slight spark at the very end when I go to turn off the key.

Thanks....

Sam

Answer
Hi Sam,
If you have the coil wired correctly and have power to the coil and the new electronic ignition system is wired as per what ever instructions came with it and you have no spark from the coil then your electronic ignition system is not working. A set of points and condenser, an LED ignition system or any type of electronic ignition system just grounds the coil and then breaks that ground to make a coil fire. If the coil don't fire, then the ignition system (what ever kind it is) is just not working. (providing you wired it correctly.
