Triumph Repair: 74 triumph performance, free flow exhaust, fly wheel

Question
i just fell in love with my car after correcting valve clearances and cleaning ports and heads. the increase in power really surprised me, it was awesome seeing my hard work payoff(never worked on a car before) although i may have developed a performance addiction. i plan to get a lightweight fly wheel, exhaust, headers, cam, dual carb what configurations/brand do you recommend for the above parts? i want to get the best products that i can, i have no liscense for a year and look forward to really adding some performance to this car.the only cam i can find is Kent cam in victoria British, Also if i take my intake valves to get bored how far should they be bored? After upgrading the above parts would an oversized radiator be needed?  should i upgrade these parts in any order, at what point should i change the timing?  if you have any other tips for upgrading performance i would appreciate it!help me make my car fast! thanks in advance for your wisdom.

Answer
Kent makes good cams and Victoria British has been in the business for many years so most anything they have has had a proven record. As far as the oversized intake valves, the machine shop can decide how large a valve they can machine the head to take. Most likely they can supply the valves.
Generally speeking, a cam, larger intake valves, competition valve springs, raise compression ratio and headers with a free flow exhaust will enhance the performance.
As far as tuning after this, you will need to change advance timing and advance curve and get different needles for the carbs. There is a procedure to go through to do this so after you do all of the work let me know and I will walk you through it.
