UK Car Repair: steering, angle grinder, fiat bravo

Question
QUESTION: i have a 1997 fiat bravo hgt 2.0i 20v 5 cylinder. the problem is when i accelerate it pulls to the right and when engine braking it pulls to the left. i have replaced the track rod end on drivers side because there was some movement then had 2 new tyres on the front and the tracking done again but none of this has fixed the problem. it is fine under normal braking and at lower speeds. have you any ideas what it could be?

ANSWER: Worn wishbone bushes, had this before on a bravo.
Partco do the bushes for about £60, get the whole wishbone with bushes, not just the bushes on their own. (the bushes are impossible to remove from the wishbone and even harder to fit, I nearly got it done with a vice, an angle grinder and a lump hammer - they are HARD, so just get the full wishbones WITH bushes already attached, more expensive but possible)

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: i have noticed a slight tapping or clicking noise when the steering is on full lock in either direction and i've also noticed that when it does pull the steering wheel seems to go the opposite way slightly. do you still think it is the wishbone bushes or could it be anything else? thanks for your help.

Answer
could be something loose in the steering too, I'd check the steering rack is properly secured to the chassis, but it could be anthing.
the tapping is likely worn C.V. joints - they start at £30 a side ..ish.

If you could give me some photos of the car.  to see condition of the suspension components,
take a load of pictures, get every joint and bolt  - I'll check it out.

turn the wheels to the right to photo the right side wheel, turn the wheels to the left to photo the left side wheel. take photos from underneath with wheels straight.
