i really need a diagram of fitting a cambelt into a vauxhall combo merit van 1.7, 1997, can you help or tell me were i could find this? Thank you

Hi Libby, all the information you would need to do this (including tourque wrench settings) can be found in the haynes manual for your vehicle. Any good garage will have an Autodata book which they may or may not photocopy for you. ( Are you aware that if your cambelt has snapped while the engine is running, that there are very probably 2 or more bent valve stems? and that, if you mis-align the timing marks on the pulleys you can cause the same damage? ) -Good luck with it - Paul
