UK Car Repair: Noise turning left ??, cv shaft, steering rack

Question
Hi, everytime I make a sharp left turn there is kind of grinding noise of metal. Turning on roads is ok but there is a slight noise but when turning into a car park or tight road the noise is bad and becomes into a squealing noise.

The car is only 1 year old and only done 7000 miles.

Looking forward to your reply

Answer
A failed steering rack or pump can cause those noises. Also a failed CV shaft if it has overextended can cause the boot to rub on the carrier. Take it back to the dealer as I am sure if it only has 7K on it and is a year old it is still under warranty.

It is not safe to limp it along with this symptom.
