UK Car Repair: terrible noise from the front, cv joint, gear noise

Hi, There is a terrible noise coming from the front passenger side of my car. I took it to mechanic and had MOT done, it was not a bearing which first I suspected. My car was ramped/ jacked and put in gear, noise doesn't come then, it only come when car is on the ground and is being driving, speed of noise gets faster with the speed of the car, it has something to do with the wheel but only when its on the ground. Its not suspension related or CV joint, what else could that be?, please help

sounds like a wheel bearing to me.......you wont necc have any play in the bearing which is what they check for on MOT.
you cant hear it when the car is jacked because there is no load on the brg.
does it seem to get worse going round say left hand bends more than right hand?
