ANSWER: Hey Miguel;  What kind of car?  Jetta, Passat, Beetle?  Also, what engine code, and transmission code, and transmission type.  Is this a 5 speed manual, or an automatic?  Give me a little more information, and I should be able to help some.  I'm sorry it took so long to get to your question, my computer broke, so I'm doing this from work.

QUESTION: 2000 jetta 1.8 t automatic

Answer
Thanks Miguel;
Sorry, not good news then.  The transmission you have is a 4 speed overdrive automatic.  The transmission code is probably FDC, and there is probably a "cross leak" in the valve body of the transmission.  There isn't a cheap, or easy repair.  The only thing to do at this point is to re[place the transmission.  I'm sorry.
