Tires: 4 bolt and 5 bolt pattern problem, bolt pattern, lug pattern

Question
I have a 2002 Mustang and the wheels on the mustang have a 5 bolt lug pattern. I have wheels that I got from a friend that would look great on my car, but the pattern is a 4 bolt one. I was wondering if there is any way I can by-pass this problem with maybe a converter or something without ruining the strength of the wheel or damaging my car. Please help and thanks in advance.

Answer
Branden,

You could have the holes redrilled, but this is not a job for an amateur, so it will be very expensive - and it some cases can't be done without compromising the strength of the rim.

Adaptors aren't going to work as they will push the rim further out.  Besides, that adds a lot of complication to what is a fairly simple, but important, clamping job.

Hope this helps.
