QuestionWater is leaking down from the center counsel down to the floor in the front passenger side this only happens when air conditioner is running. Is there a drainage tube for condensation that could be causing this and where can I find it?

Both the drivers door, and the passengers door have drains for rain, and they can get clogged, causing water in the interior. The evaporator unit for the air conditioner collects water, and has a drain. However, the drain position varies depending on the model of car. Is this a Passat? If so, the drain is under the rain shield, at the base of the windshield, right at the back of the hood. If you pull the rubber gasket up that isolates the engine bay from the battery area, you can then remove that whole shield...it just pulls straight forward. Now you be able to se the mastercylinder reservoir for the brakes, the battery, and the pollen filter, and housing. Between the pollen filter, and the edge of the sheetmetal on the right, outboard side of the car look for leaves, and other debris that may have become packed into that space, and clean it out completely. Then look for the other drains, and hoses, they all exit amidships, under the car, and one of them may have become loose, and dislodged. There is a drain specifically for the battery, as well. Be very careful to restore this one with attention to detail, or is possible that in an accident battery acid could get into the passenger compartment, which would make a bad situation even worse. Just make sure the open area between the engine, and the base of the windshield is nice, and clean, and just check to see if the hoses, and drains are connected, and free flowing.
