Volkswagen Repair: Crazy Rabbit wont start, distributer cap, crazy rabbit

1982 VW Rabbit Convertable
it wont start. it turns over but will not ignite.
the battery is new,cables are new, spark plugs are new,distributer cap and cables,ignition cable new, starter new.otherwise i am lost. and i have the wrong book so im not gonna try it.
please help me.its a manual trans.we tried to push start and nothing. please any advice.

Krystal, Thank you for your question.  .  You have done quite a bit on this rabbit, (that's an understatement!).  Since it will not start when pushed, that tells me that there is a problem with fuel delivery.  Either the fuel pump is dead, the fuel filter is plugged or a fuel line is kinked. Also the carburetor maybe in need of rebuilding. Any one of these could cause the problem you are having.  As far as a manual, the best one is Bentley (is used by the Dealers) after that is Haynes.
