Volvo Repair: My S70 Anti-theft alarm is off !, volvo specialist, volvo dealer

My S70 1999 GLT decided to disfranchise its anti-theft system...
Central locking works fine, i can lock/unlock the car using key through driver's door, but
all of the sudden both my remotes stopped working and alarm indicator located at the
center of the dashboard is off all the time! When locking/unlocking  the car with key the alarm
indicator stays off all the time, the flash of turning signals doesn't take place as it used to and
i checked all fuses and relays, they are fine. Right now none of the remote control buttons work
and after disconnecting battery nothing changed - the alarm seems to be still dead.
What else can i check? -

Susan, in a word, nothing.  This needs to go to the Volvo dealer for remote programming and system scanning.  There may be a Module problem or just a remote programming issue.  Either way, the dealer has to work on it.  Your Volvo Specialist shop may have the equipment to do that also.  Roger
