Volvo Repair: 96 volvo 850, chevy man, faulty component

i ran into a 850 just siting in mint condition. i always liked theses cars for some reason i'm a chevy man alday. but as you no thats a long walk across town between them to.he's askink 1,500 runs real good (but) an as you an i no every shop has a (but). the cluster lites dont come on everything else works up there.just no lites now whats the changes its a bulb or is it a wiring problem that will never end? just dont want to be on the shoulder up in smoke.

I would be suspicious of a car whose indicator lights don't work. It may mask a code and you will never know it until you connect a code reader to it. Volvos are electronically complex, and when certain codes set, it affects other things, For example, if the ABS has a faulty component, the cruise control will not operate.
