Volvo Repair: Heater controls, emery board, air tubes

1991 volvo 240,will not blow heat on floor,defrost only

Hi Larry,
          You may have to look at plastic air tubes/hoses...about 1.5 in.thick that routes the hot air around to the different vents....
          Switch that regulates airflow failed.(Idoubtit)
        vacuum hose disconnected on vacuum operated control  unit.
          Someone dropped...emery board...pen...coffee stirrir...pencil down defrost duct on dashboard and jammed up the control unit....It does happen....often.
