Volvo Repair: Coolant Leak on 2000 Volvo S80 T6, volvo s80, 2000 volvo s80

Question
Hi Regis -
I pulled the driver's side floormat out on our S80 for cleaning and notice that the carpet was soaked with coolant.  I did a little checking and it appears that there is a slow drip coming from underneath the plastic covering just in front of the floor vent.  Can you tell me what might be causing this, what kind of a job it is to fix and what I might expect to pay for repair.  The car is driven primarily by my wife and has 76,000 miles on it.  I am a little "gun shy" since it cost over $4000 to replace the ECM, throttle body etc. at 60,000 miles.  Also, is there any service bulletin/recall on this?  We just had the car in to the dealers to replace the cooling fan because of another recall.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer
sounds like possibly a leaking heater core.I have not done one so i am not familiar with the cost.it could also just be a leak at an Oring for the heater core.it should really be looked at for a proper diagnosis.

there is no recall or bulletin tht I am aware of for a heater core or coolant leaking problem.
