Car Alarms: 2 way transceiver, ford escape, new ford

Question
I just recently bought a new Ford Escape and had an alarm installed at the dealer.  I thought i would be getting a 2 way system to notify the key fob if the alarm was going off and to confirm the command i sent to the alarm (since this is what was on display).  However, i only have the basic fob which tells me nothing.  My parking space is around the corner, and i fear that at night i may not hear the alarm.  Is there a module or something i can add to the alarm system to send a notification to the fob?

Thanks,

Mike

Answer
It's after market so, you'd need to start at the office where they
"closed" the sale on the truck. That person is usually
the after market liason for alarms etc...
and sets up the contract installer
to come and install the alarm.

That will at least help
you to identify the system they put in.

Then you can try an after market remote site
that can match what you need, or direct contact
the installer to see if he has the companion 2 way remote
for it.

Other then that, you would need to have what you
have under the dash inspected to try to ID it,
or do a replacement with a system you KNOW has
all the features, pieces and parts from the git.

I hope this helps.
