Volvo Repair: ignition problems, volvo 240 dl, fuel pressure regulator

Question
I own a 1986 volvo 240 dl . Today I changed plugs and wires . The coil wire popped off and I flooded the engine , now the car won't start and the engine is continuing to flood . Ichanged the oil filter and oil also I replaced the old wires and plugs back in to see if that helped but it didn't . What should I do next ? This is my work vehicle so I need it ASAP !!!

Answer
unless there is another problem new plugs and disconnecting the fuel pump fuses and much cranking with the gas pedal held to the floor should get it to start.I would check the vacuum side of the fuel pressure regulator to be sure it is not leaking fuel and flooding the engine.
