Volvo Repair: 97 960 Volvo repairs, volvo repairs, wiper shaft

I have a few questions.  I am new to the sevice so I hope it is OK to ask a few in one session.  If not I apologize.

1.  I would like to buy a service/repair manual for my 97 960 Volvo.  The car actually has the S90 label on the car trunk.  I am assuming they are the same car just different names for the same car.  What manuals would you recommned and from where?  Need the general type infprmation for my shade tree talents.  I will still bring the car to a mechanic for the big electronic stuff.

2.  The headlight wipers are not working.  The water flows but the wipers do not move.  I tried to remove the wiper motor but could not get the headlamp assembly out due to the wiper shaft poking through the pumper.  How do I get the motor out for testing/replacement?  Do you need to remove the shaft at the motor?  Looks like there is a coupling which is used to attach the shaft to the motor.  I am assuming the motor should come on when you pull the windshield wiper lever forward to wash the windshield.  If there is another way then please let mw know.

3.  The moon roof tilts down but will not move towards the rear of the car.  I have been told that the tracks have been damaged and there is debree (track assembly pieces) blocking the tracks preventing the movement.  Do you have some instructiosn on how to remove and replace the tracks?  Are there any special tools required to repair the moon roof track assembly?

1. the car is actually a 97 s90.which is really the same as a 960 but some parts are different.so when purchasing parts be sure to tell them it is an s90.mid 97 was the change over year from 960 to s90.I would purchase a chiltons or haynes repair manual from a local parts store.a haynes manula usually has wiring diagrams in them so I prefer them.

2.they are probably both bad and are very expensive to replace.the gears inside them break.they come out from under the car and it are somewhat difficult to replace.you would need to remove the little wipr arm and then the 2 screws holding the motor bracket to the back of the headlight assembly.then disconnect the wires and then remove it from under the car.you will need to just mess with it I really have no exact way to remove it.

3.if you open the roof and look at what are called the selector gates.you will see the plastic pieces are broken on the gates.the gates are the long pieces that the sunroof bolts to.they will need to be replaced.
