Volvo Repair: later model engine swap, automatic tranny, model engine

I am putting a later engine  I think it is a '89 it is out of a 740,in my '86 240. My concerns are the "new" engine has the distributor on the end of the cam, and is off of an automatic tranny. will it work on my '86 which has a manuel trans and dist. on the side, just in front of the intake manifold. thank you for any advise.

the engine will work you will need a plug for the back of the head to seal the hole and will need to knock out the other plug to install the distributor where it belonges and you will need to use all the electrical and fuel injection parts off the old motor.
