BMW: cars, old cars, curiosity

hello, Ian!
Out of curiosity, does it worth to get a car
in Germany and ship it to US?
i lived in Germany fore some years and my
feelings are that cars in US (BMW, VW ...)
are not the cars that made in germany. i was driving
fairly old cars in Munich and they never went
broke, not like cars in US. Correct me if i am wrong.

I know of somebody who was looking into doing that. The only problem is getting the car to pass emissions here. They sell basically the same car here that they do over there. If I were you, I would save myself the trouble of importing one and just buy it here.
