Acura: Problems starting 1992 Acura Integra LS (3-door), acura integra, ls 3

Question
I started my car today, drove about 10 feet and it stalled.  When I tried to start it again it wouldn't turn over.  Seemed like it wouldn't catch (gave the whole whurring sound, but didn't start).  It almost did a few times.  Finally, after trying several times it finally started.  After starting, the idle settled fine and car has acked normal for the last few hours.  It's been easy to start since then, but I have not tried again when the car is cool (ie- hasn't been goin for a few hours.

Another idea on what could have went wrong?  Could it be the starter or ignition components, or was it likely something else.

I have never had any repair done on the igition components.  The battery is brand new.  The only valid repair I can think of is that the ignition distributor (??? on terminology) was replaced years ago do to recall.

Thanks for any help.

Answer
I'm not sure what could be wrong.  Your fuel filter could have been clogged and unclogged itself.  See how it starts when it's cold.  If there is no problem then would not worry about it.  If it does not start then you do have a problem.  I assume you mean by whurring sound that is cranks but the engine never turns over?  It could be many things. I believe your starter is fine, since it's cranking.  Are the cables from the new battery tight?  There could be many problems, unfortunately, I can't narrow it down to one in order to help you.

It all depends if it starts this morning or not.

Let me know,
