Buick/Olds: 2001 Buick Park Avenue, buick park avenue, little peg

I have an 01 Park Avenue with two issues. One is a right blinker that has failed. It seems to be in the lever, as it is not a bulb problem. Is there a fix besides replacing that entire $300 unit? Also, when I unhooked my battery cable last week, my fuel guage swung all the way around to the other side of the little peg. Now it will not move away from the peg! Any suggestions? Thanks!

This turn signal thing is a typical Buick problem...the problem is inside the lever mechanism...you sometimes can take it apart, make sure all conections are tight,and clean the carbon and/or brass points where the contact occurs, and fix it.

the fuel gauge is another story... if you can disconect it from the system, then momentarily touch 2 leads ( one neg. and one pos) in the reverse mode, to the connection points, it will reverse it.
I don't know any other way. sorry, but aside from that just replace the gauge.
