Cadillac: 1992 Cadillac Deville hesitates, throttle position sensor, cadillac deville

Question
QUESTION:1992 Cadillac Deville Sometimes it stalls just whenever and also it hesitates when trying to accelerate and lunges, it also sometimes decides it wants to go forward when you are trying to stop, not real safe.  So my question is what in the world could this be? I cleared the codes comes up with code E91

ANSWER: When the code displayed, it should have stated on the screen if it was a CURRENT or HISTORY code. Which is it.

The fault is with the neutral starter safety switch.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: It does not display current or history.

I replaced the neutral starter safety switch, cleared the codes it now displays codes E85 and E91, my neutral does not work, the car will not start in neutral, I replaced the throttle position sensor and cleaned it, same codes same problems. Sometimes when I drive it it will get only up to 20-25 miles (with my gas pedal all the way to the floor) and begins to put, put, backfire, and hesitate.
seems like when I put my foot on the gas (and the gas pedal is all the way down) it gets very low power(10-15 mph) when I take my foot off it reves up on its on and goes about 20-25 miles Sometimes when I come to a complete stop it will die out. But will start right back up.  The service engine light is always on.  Please help!

Answer
My ERROR. Do any of the codes come up as EE codes ?

Write down EXACTLY what displays on the display panel and let me know what you get.

E85 = Throttle angle to high most likely due to black carbon residue on the throttle plate and surrounding area that needs to be cleaned off.

E91 = faulty or misadjusted PRNDL switch.

Your severe lack of power can be caused by a restriction in the catalytic converter which is very common.
