car will not start.dash say's starter disable due to theft system.remove key,wait 3 minutes.what could this be?please help me.

Try a different key . If this does not resolve your problem you may have faulty contacts within the lock cylinder in the steering column where the key goes in and or a faulty pASS-KEY module which will have to be tested by the dealer as there is a special test box to test the system.
AnswerIt is part of your anti-theft system so that the correct ignition key MUST be inserted into the ignition lock or the pass-key module can read the resistance of the computer chip on the key and enable the starter to engage and start the engine.
What you need to do is:
1. turn ON the ignition key. Engine OFF.
2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER (^) buttons on your climate control panel for 3 seconds and release the buttons.
3. diagnostic codes will appear and will stop when you see PCM?
4. I need to know aht LETTERS and NUMBERS display such as PZ D01 or PZ 022 or any letter number combination.
5. I need to know EXACTLY what displays as if you were video-taping it.

7. If you get lost, Just turn OFF the ignition key, Wait 15 seconds and start over.
