hello i have a 1994 eldorado it was running great but i raced it agaist a mustang once and since then its been heating up... now i replaced the water pump, radiator, radiator cap, fan clutch, water pump housing, im just about to replace the head gaskets (platinum gasket?) and i wannted to see if u know if was worth it or do u think the heads are gone? the car turns on perfectly and besides the over heating it runs just like it use to it didnt loose any power... i you could answear my question or give me an idea of how to fix this proble i would really apriciate it..

Answer
Sounds like you blew a head gasket to me. There IS a test procedure that you can do to verify this:

1. remove all the spark plugs.

2. Apply about 90 lbs of constant shop air into each cylinder and watch for air bubbles in the radiator. Perform this on ALL the cylinders one at a time.
