Chevrolet: cam help, hydraulic lifters, chevy 327


Question
The life of this cam lives in a 74 350 corvette motor with auto trans.-Hydraulic lifters--Stock crank & Rods--TRW flat top pistons .030 over--Stock 74 vet heads--Edelbrock Performer Intake--Holley 600 carb.--Stock exhaust manifolds--Stock point dist.--Here are the cast in numbers on the cam--CWC--3--D2--C2--EPI--This is all i know of this motor. The person i bought it from has no idea. Thanks Rick------------------------

Hi Rodger   Im woundsring if you can help me find the maker and specs for this cam.  It has 2white dots on the back and the #179R spamped on also the letter (A) stamped on the back.  Thank You Rick

first- what was it in ? as for the white dots anyone could have put them there.can you tell me more, as it is not easy to find out info. on parts like that.

 I looked at a few places and that cam is not a chevy brand or a crane ,etc. if I were you I would get a new chevy 327 fuely cam solid lifters or a equ. to it.. it will make that engine run good with what you have in it now. you will have to adj. the valves every once and a while at 12. and 18. but it will run real good.and yes the cam for the 327 will fit your 350..
