Chevrolet: Stalls in traffic, 1990 cavalier z24, air bubbles

Question
1990 Cavalier Z24 3.1L auto 195k miles

Recently the car has occasionally been stalling in traffic when stopped.  PRM drop below 500 and stall occurs. If I put it in neutral rev's drop but no stalling.   Recently replaced plugs, wires, PCV & fuel filter.

I notice that while the transmission fluid reads OK there are many bubbles on the dip stick.  Could the fluid actually be low and the air/bubbles cause it to read OK?  Should I add fluid and if so how much?   Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Answer
Could be lots of things causing your stalling problem so I need a little more info.
Just before it stalls, does it start to buck and jerk kind of like if you didnt push the clutch in?
Does it restart ok?
Does it stall again when you put it back into gear after it stalls?
You should add trans fluid until it is solid fluid upto the full mark on the stick.
