Dodge: truck has engine mis and then rpm drops and tranny doesnt shift right, pressure maps, output speed

Question
ok i was coming home on the interstate and tranny wouldn't shift into third because something was bogging down the motor. so i lost 3 and 4 gear. then second. got to where i was going and let it sit. started it up again and it worked like it was brand new. then it started again. what could be causing this?  it just works beautiful then it starts missing and the RPM drop then the tranny doesn't shift right.

HEY COREY,IF THIS TRUCK IS NEWER THEN A 95 LOOK FOR THE GOVERNOR SOLENOID OR SENSOR TO BE AN ISSUE. THEY TEND TO FAIL WHEN THEY GET WARM AND DO JUST WHAT YOUR COMPLAINING ITS DOING.THESE TWO WILL TURN ON YOUR ENGINE LIGHT SO IF ITS ON GET IT SCANNED FOR TROUBLE CODES. THERE IS ONE MORE THING AND THAT'S THE OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR. IF IT FAILS WHEN IT WARMS UP THE COMPUTER THINKS YOUR AT A STAND STILL AND WONT CYCLE THE GOVERNOR PRESSURE MAPS THAT ARE PROGRAMMED INTO THE COMPUTER. I HOPE THIS HELPS COREY.THANKS,TIM.P.S.
