Question -
1996 Dodge Dakota, some how some where when I replaced the bottom of the dash the radio quit working, the dome lite quit working and the under dash lites quit. I replaced the radio with another and still no power. Could I have stripped the wires and are these things connected together some way?

Answer
Have you rechecked the fuses?retrace the wires is all you can do.it sounds like a short somewhere, but replacing the resistor and just removing the radio shouldn't have stripped a wire because of where the plug is located. You should have some fuses under the hood also, you need to check them. They should be located on the drivers side under the hood in a black box, under the cover will tell you what each fuse or link is.
